Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation Awards College Scholarships in 2005!
The Foundation received a great response from college bound applicants from
all across the State. This is the third year that the Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation
partnered up with Key Bank to administer this successful and rewarding program.
The scholarship criteria was distributed to Oregon High Schools and Oregon
Youth Soccer clubs and coaches. Qualified applicants were members of Oregon
Youth Soccer, had a 3.0 GPA or higher and were attending college in the Fall
of 2006. Applicant's also submitted a narrative describing how soccer has influenced
their character, discipline, teamwork, leadership and self-esteem. Congratulations
to our ten scholarship recipients for 2006:

The Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation raises and distributes money to further
the goals of the Association. Since 1996, over $230,000 has been awarded through
grants to clubs, schools and other community groups for field development and
maintenance, goals and equipment, and outreach to minority and lower income
children in underserved communities.
