Since 1996, Oregon Youth Soccer Foundation has granted nearly $250,000 to Oregon organizations for soccer. Funds were used for field development, equipment purchase, staffing, lighting, promotion of the game, community outreach and computer equipment. Furthering our mission of providing funding to promote the development of youth soccer throughout the state, our long-term goals include College Scholarhips, Facility Development and Community Outreach.

Grant Process
The Grants Committee shall review grant applications according to the criteria set out below, and shall recommend to the Governing Committee which shall recommend to the Board of Directors whether, to what extent, and upon what conditions a grant shall be made to the applicant:
- Will the applicant obtain other sources of funding?
- Will the grant project increase the number of participants?
- Will the grant project increase the availability of fields/facilities?
- Will the grant project increase the quality of play?
- Will the grant project enhanced gender equity?
- Will the grant project enhanced participation by minority and /or disadvantaged youth?
- Will the grant project otherwise satisfy the purposes of OYSA?
In addition, last year's Grant Committee established the funding policies listed below.
- OYSA members in good standing will receive priority-funding consideration.
- Grant requests from non-OYSA member organizations that state an intent to become affiliated with or members of OYSA will receive priority funding consideration over non-affiliated applicants that do not state such an intent.
- Proposals for field development projects will be viewed more favorably if they are collaborative and OSFY funds are critical to the project's success.
- Proposals for hard assets will be given priority over proposals for operating or ongoing maintenance costs.
